Hi everyone! My name is Ava L. I am 20 years old and I am hoping to find a family that is looking for a long term nanny! I have 8 years of babysitting experience. 2 years of nannying experience. I currently work at a daycare and have been here for a little over a year. I have experience with ages 0-12 years old.

I am CPR/First Aid certified, have my own transportation, and I am comfortable with pets. I have been nannying consistently for the last 2 years, but have been caring for children over the last 4 years. Most of my experience is between the ages 10 months - 10 years old. Early on in my nannying career, I got the opportunity to work with a child who struggled with his emotions. This experience allowed me to learn how to help children through emotions and helped me become a more patient person. This experience also led me to the gentle parenting method. During my senior year of high-school, I helped in PE for the grades K-2. This taught me different activities I can do with kids that support gross motor skills, as well as how to manage more children at once. Over the last year, I helped in dance classrooms. I helped manage multiple children, technique corrections, as well as have fun with the kids!As stated before, I am interested in using the gentle parenting method, which often means that I like to talk to the child about what happened and we figure out a way to make it right together. For example if they make a mess, we clean it up. If they aren’t safely listening to me while doing an activity. I will find something else for them to do until they can safely do the activity and use their listening ears. I love to learn about the kids I am working with and find activities that they enjoy. I am also big on compromising and letting the kids have a choice when it’s reasonable.

I build upon my Early Child Development coursework by creating engaging experiences through outdoor sports, educational games, and crafts.I am comfortable caring for up to four children and happy to assist with cooking, light housekeeping, carpooling, and travel. I am also certified in First Aid and CPR. I am patient, creative, and happy to follow your household rules and preferred communication methods, providing regular updates via text or in person.
