Hi everyone! My name is Ava L. I am 20 years old and I am hoping to find a family that is looking for a long term nanny! I have 8 years of babysitting experience. 2 years of nannying experience. I currently work at a daycare and have been here for a little over a year. I have experience with ages 0-12 years old.

I am CPR/First Aid certified, have my own transportation, and I am comfortable with pets. I have been nannying consistently for the last 2 years, but have been caring for children over the last 4 years. Most of my experience is between the ages 10 months - 10 years old. Early on in my nannying career, I got the opportunity to work with a child who struggled with his emotions. This experience allowed me to learn how to help children through emotions and helped me become a more patient person. This experience also led me to the gentle parenting method. During my senior year of high-school, I helped in PE for the grades K-2. This taught me different activities I can do with kids that support gross motor skills, as well as how to manage more children at once. Over the last year, I helped in dance classrooms. I helped manage multiple children, technique corrections, as well as have fun with the kids!As stated before, I am interested in using the gentle parenting method, which often means that I like to talk to the child about what happened and we figure out a way to make it right together. For example if they make a mess, we clean it up. If they aren’t safely listening to me while doing an activity. I will find something else for them to do until they can safely do the activity and use their listening ears. I love to learn about the kids I am working with and find activities that they enjoy. I am also big on compromising and letting the kids have a choice when it’s reasonable.
