I am an older sister to 3 siblings which I have helped care for and babysit my whole life. My youngest sister and I have a 12 year age gap so I have been caring for her more as a young adult and thus would consider that experience. I babysit for my mom when needed and take my sister to school when I can. I also have multiple younger cousins I watch from time to time and a family friend that recently had a baby that I have babysit a few times. I am in my senior year of college working on my bachelors in animal science hoping to be going to vet school. I babysit and dog sit/walk to make a little extra money while in college and being around kids and animals is a nice break from my constant school work.

Hi! My names Bailey and I’m from Atlantic Beach, Florida. I graduated high school last year with honors as part of the Advanced International Certificate of Graduation program (AICE) with a 4.2 GPA. In high school, I was involved in multiple clubs, including the thrift club and French club. I was vice president of two clubs: Paws for a Cause (a club devoted to volunteering and fundraising for local animal shelters) and Marine Coastal Club (a club dedicated to beach clean up and advocating for the preservation of marine ecosystems). I recently moved to Gainesville to attend Santa Fe College with a 100% Bright Futures Scholarship and hopefully transfer into the University of Florida! I am on the health science track to purse a major in nursing. I am very focused on my education and have a strong work ethic from working 30 hour weeks while attending high school. I worked at Salt Life, a popular family restaurant at the beach where I grew up, my junior and senior year of high school as both a hostess and server. I devote most of my time outside of school and work towards spending time with my loved ones, friends, and church. I have ten younger cousins in my family and attended a private school for K-8 with a tight knit community so I’ve spent a lot of time watching and being around kids :) At my private school, we were assigned a kindergartner when we were in the 7th grade to teach them how to read and read to them each week, sit with them in church and keep them on their best behavior, and act as a role model for them. I am still in touch with my kindergartner’s mother, who has expressed over the years the positive impact I had on her daughter. She also had a positive impact on me as it taught me a lot about being a positive figure in a child’s life. I also have experience with children with ADHD. I have spent a lot of time over the past 2 years babysitting my boyfriend’s little brother with ADHD, and helping him with his schoolwork. I’m very enthusiastic about childcare and am interested in pediatric nursing once I graduate and begin my career.
