Hi! My name is Mariah, and I’m a 19-year-old currently taking a gap year before attending the University of Rhode Island this fall to study Nursing. I have always had a passion for working with children and began babysitting at 13 years old. Since then, I’ve gained extensive experience through babysitting, professional childcare settings, and coaching gymnastics. I currently work as a full-time Infant Teacher and have experience caring for children ranging from 6 weeks old to 16 years old. I am CPR, First Aid, and AED certified in both Pediatric and Adult care, and I prioritize creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun. I love getting on a child’s level, whether that means playing games, doing crafts, reading stories, helping with homework, or simply being a supportive and caring presence. I understand that every child is unique and strive to meet their individual needs with patience, creativity, and kindness. I also place a high value on building strong relationships with parents. I believe communication, reliability, and trust are essential when caring for children, and I pride myself on being mature, responsible, and dependable. My goal is always to provide families with peace of mind while ensuring their children feel safe, happy, and cared for.
