About Shawna

I love working with children because every child has a unique personality, and it's so rewarding to build meaningful relationships while supporting their development through play, creativity, and everyday routines. I have hands-on experience working as both an infant teacher and a preschool teacher, where I cared for children of different ages, planned engaging activities, encouraged developmental milestones, and created a nurturing, positive environment. In addition, I hold certifications in Early Childhood Education and Child Development. My education and experience have given me a strong understanding of child development, health, safety, and age-appropriate care. I have also graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and am a licensed Registered Nurse (RN), currently working as an RN. My nursing education and professional experience have further strengthened my knowledge of pediatric care, child development, health and safety, and responding calmly and effectively in emergency situations. I am comfortable recognizing changes in a child’s condition, providing appropriate care, and creating a safe and supportive environment for children and their families.
