Hi! My name is Columbia, and I’m a responsible, caring, and dependable babysitter with over 3 years of babysitting experience. I genuinely enjoy working with children and creating a safe, fun, and comfortable environment where they can be themselves. I have been a lifeguard for over 3 years and am trained in CPR and the Heimlich maneuver, so your child’s safety is always one of my top priorities. My experience as a lifeguard has taught me how to stay calm under pressure, pay close attention to my surroundings, and respond quickly and responsibly in an emergency. I also have 2 years of restaurant experience, which has helped me develop strong communication, patience, time-management, and customer-service skills. I understand the importance of being dependable, respectful, and professional when caring for someone else’s children. Outside of work, I am very involved in my school and community. I have held several leadership positions, including President of my Yearbook Club, Secretary of National Honor Society, President of the Positivity Project, and a school news/social media leadership role. Through these activities, I have gained a lot of experience organizing events, leading groups, communicating with others, and taking responsibility for important tasks. I have also been involved with Young Life and have worked as a Math Teacher Assistant and AP Government Tutor. I would describe myself as patient, responsible, positive, organized, and easy to get along with. I love keeping kids entertained through games, crafts, outdoor activities, helping with homework, and other age-appropriate activities. I am also comfortable following parents’ routines and expectations and understand how important it is for parents to feel confident and comfortable with the person caring for their children.
