About Nadya

My name is Nadya, and I am currently a student at East Carolina University majoring in Biology, with plans to graduate in the spring. I would describe myself as responsible, caring, patient, and dependable. I enjoy helping others and creating a positive environment where people feel comfortable and supported. My experience working with children first began when I was in high school. During the summer, I worked as a teacher’s aide at a Montessori school, where I helped care for children, assisted them with schoolwork, and supported their daily classroom activities. I also worked with the school’s afternoon program, where I supervised and entertained children who stayed after regular school hours until their parents were able to pick them up. I helped keep them engaged through different activities while making sure they were safe and comfortable. This experience taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and being attentive to each child’s individual needs. It also helped me become comfortable working with children of different ages and personalities. I truly enjoy being someone children can feel safe and comfortable around while also making sure they have fun and feel supported.
