I’ve been caring for children for 15+ years, and I still love the everyday moments most: tiny conversations, silly games, story time, making snacks, helping with routines, and learning what makes each child light up. My experience ranges from newborns as young as 6 days old through children age 13. I’m comfortable with bottles and breastmilk handling, feeding, diapering, bathing, naps, bedtime, developmental play, tutoring, homework help, outings, transportation, meal preparation, overnight care, postpartum support, and the many little things in between. I’ve cared for multiple children at once and managed full days, overnights, and weeklong stretches that included school and camp drop offs, meals, errands, pets, household tidying, homework, play, and bedtime. My caregiving style is warm, calm, attentive, playful, and nurturing. I’m deeply interested in childhood development, attachment, nutrition, education, imaginative play, outdoor exploration, and helping children build confidence, independence, curiosity, and emotional regulation. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, respected, understood, and free to be themselves within thoughtful, consistent boundaries. I’m also highly dependable and organized. My background in military, executive, and operational support taught me to anticipate needs, stay composed, handle responsibility with discretion, create useful routines, and notice the little things that can easily become one more item on a parent’s mind. I have prior infant and toddler CPR and choking response training, military first aid and emergency response training, a reliable vehicle, a good driving record, and I’m comfortable with background checks. Most of all, I hope to be someone your children are happy to see and someone you feel genuinely comfortable welcoming into your home.
