I am a caring and enthusiastic nanny with 6+ years of experience in caring for all ages, from infants to tweens. I am passionate about creating a nurturing environment for children to learn and thrive. I believe early childhood education is foundational, which is why I incorporate educational activities into daily routines. I am artistic and enjoy making arts-and-crafts projects with the children I care for. I am also very active and outdoorsy. As an avid reader, I encourage children to develop a love for reading and teach early reading skills. I am also very health-conscious and strive to teach and model skills and habits regarding nutrition. A child's social and emotional development is a crucial area I focus on; teaching emotional intelligence, social skills, and emotional regulation is very important to me. I consider myself skilled at creating routine and structure, and I am very good at following and maintaining previously established rules, schedules, etc. With my experience caring for infants and toddlers, I am adept and knowledgeable when it comes to feedings, diaper changes, potty training, sleep, baby-led weaning, bath/night routine, and providing mental stimulation during wake windows. The childcare philosophy/approach I am most closely aligned with is gentle parenting, which prioritizes learning, growth, and self-awareness. As a hired professional, I also try to match and emulate my employer's parenting style, making modifications and asking for/receiving feedback. As a former sociology student, I like to take an evidence-based, scientific approach while, in tandem, using my bubbly, positive, and sunny disposition to bond with the kids and create fun memories. Learning, fun, and safety are my top priorities. I have excellent communication skills and believe that establishing a good parent-nanny relationship is key.
