About Talia

My name is TaLia A, and I am a dedicated Special Education Teacher with experience supporting students with diverse learning, behavioral, and developmental needs. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Columbus State University and recently completed my Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Columbus State University, graduating with a 3.80 GPA. I am currently working toward becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). My professional experience includes serving as a specialized autism teacher in a self-contained classroom, special education teacher, special education paraprofessional, and lead instructor for after-school and summer enrichment programs. I have experience implementing individualized instruction, behavior support strategies, functional life skills training, and evidence-based interventions to help students achieve academic, social, and independent living goals. In addition to my classroom experience in Georgia, I have taught special education in Alaska, which strengthened my adaptability and ability to support students across diverse educational settings. I hold certifications in CPR and Professional Crisis Management (PCM) and am passionate about creating safe, supportive, and engaging learning environments for every student. I come from a large family with six younger siblings and have more than 10 years of childcare experience, which has helped shape my patient, compassionate, and nurturing approach to working with children.
