Job Description

Notes about this job: We have a 2 year old daughter and a newborn daughter. Our 2 year old is in preschool Monday / Wednesday / Friday from 9-1 but is home all day Tuesday & Thursday. We are looking for help every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

My wife plans to nurse our newborn until she’s 1 year old. And like all babies she sleeps a lot! So bulk of Nanny’s time would be caring for our 2 year old (she loves being outside and our neighborhood has multiple parks, a pool, a library, and some shops / restaurants and we have a golfcart nanny could use to shuttle her around) and helping my wife with some light house chores, grocery shopping, dinner prep, tidying up, etc. Would be pretty rare for Nanny to watch both our girls for long periods of time. Exceptions are my wife goes to the gym for an hr Tues and Thurs or might run out periodically and do something for herself without the baby.

Normal week would look as follows (Tuesday and Thursday prb busier days and Wednesday lighter):

Tuesday: Between 10am-2pm entertain our 2 year old; watch both kids for 45 min while my wife goes to the gym; feed lunch to our 2 year old. Then put our 2 year old down for a nap at 2. Between 2-4pm help my wife with whatever she needs help with around the house (eg pick up, help prep dinner, organize kid stuff) or you might watch our newborn while my wife runs errands if she wants to get out. 4pm-6pm get our 2 year old up, play with her, and help my wife get dinner on the table by 6pm. Dinner is from 6-630 then from 630-8 help clean up dinner and pick up while my wife gets gets ready for bed. Bedtime is at 8pm.

Wednesday: Much lighter day. Our two year old will be at school until 1pm. My wife and our newborn will be at a Bible study until noon. So from 10-1pm you would help with light house chores (eg grocery shop and unload groceries) and then get a snack ready for our 2 year old once she’s back from school at 1pm. Then you would entertain her from 1pm until nap time at 2pm. 2-4pm help my wife with whatever she needs help with around the house (eg pick up, help prep dinner, organize kid stuff) or you might watch our newborn while my wife runs errands if she wants to get out. 4pm-6pm get our 2 year old up, play with her, and help my wife get dinner on the table by 6pm. Dinner is from 6-630 then from 630-8 help clean up dinner and pick up while my wife gets kids ready for bed. Bedtime is at 8pm.

Thursday: Would look something like Tuesday

Notes about the schedule: Every Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 10am-8pm. Will have some flexibility depending on my travel schedule for work. Breaks in the schedule will include holidays - especially 4th of July and Thanksgiving. Additionally we normally take a 2 week family vacation in the summer (July or August) and 1-2 long weekends throughout the year.
