About Sherry

Hi😊 My name is Sherry and I love working with children. I’m a mother, auntie (even great auntie) of lots of lovely little souls. I have lots of experience with kids. I majored in early childhood development and children’s literature and theatre. Decades as a competive and professional coach of figure skating ⛸️ even skated with Disney on Ice. I’ve nannied for quite a few families through the years. Homeschooled my son grades 1-8 to correct a slight learning disability to prepare him for high school years. He’s done great and is now out in the world thriving. Love playing, reading books to kids and have done story time at libraries and bookstores. I believe all children have infinite potential and am fascinated how their minds work. As a coach of high level athletes I’m very good at knowing when to be easy going and when to be a little more stern which each individual child. I love walks and exploring the world and helping to cultivate big imaginations. Ive been called Sherry Poppins by many. Children are absolutely precious and I love watching them grow and thrive!
