About Raquel

Last year I relocated to La Jolla from Orange County and have been a full-time nanny for a family in Encinitas with a 5-month old through now as she has recently turned one! Before this position, I nannied another sweet girl from 5-months-old to 2 years old. Nannying has allowed me to use my child development background in supporting individual children’s development and learning, and I very much enjoy being a parent educator and a helping hand to the families I work with. Prior to nannying, I worked as a substitute preschool teacher in Newport Beach and Irvine, and have a total of 8 years of preschool experience, the majority of which was in infant and toddler classrooms. In 2023, I completed my Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Washington, and before then I was an Early Childhood Education major in Community College. I absolutely adore infants and have a strong passion for children’s development. I love creating developmentally-appropriate activities for little ones and I'm a full believer in turning every moment into a fun learning opportunity!
