About Elena

Hi families! My name is Elena, and I am an elementary education major at Virginia Tech with over five years of dedicated childcare experience across all age groups. My background combines structured teaching with energetic, hands-on care. I gained valuable classroom experience as a student educator at the local Child Development Center for Learning and Research (CDCLR), where I supported early childhood learning and development. Most recently, I spent this past summer as a full-time nanny caring for a fantastic family of three children ages 8, 10, and 12. Prior to nannying, I spent two years as a swim instructor working with children ages 2 to 12 at a swim school, and served as a swim coach for kids ages 5 to 12 from 2021 to 2023. Between my teaching background and my aquatic safety experience, safety, active engagement, and positive encouragement are always my top priorities. I would love to connect and see how I can support your family with reliable babysitting!
