About Sarah

Hi! I’m Sarah, and I’m 26 years old with over 12 years of childcare experience. I started babysitting at 14 years old, caring for children from infancy through age 6. In 2018, I earned my Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in Early Childhood Education through the New Horizons program at Thomas Nelson. After graduating, I worked as a Teacher Assistant at both The Goddard School and KinderCare, where I gained valuable experience creating engaging learning environments, supporting children’s development, and building strong relationships with families. In 2019, I joined York County School Division as a Program Manager for the before- and after-school program. In 2022, I became an Instructional Assistant with the Bright Beginnings preschool program through Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools while also continuing to work in the Rec Connect before- and after-school program with James City County Parks & Recreation. Over the years, I’ve also volunteered and worked at numerous summer camps, spring break camps, and other children’s programs, giving me experience with a wide range of ages, personalities, and group settings. Most recently, I worked as a full-time nanny for a wonderful child from 10 months old until they were almost 2 years old. During that time, I was responsible for daily routines, meal preparation, educational activities, outdoor play, naps, transportation when needed, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment while supporting developmental milestones. I currently work as a substitute teacher with Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools, allowing me to continue doing what I love—working with children of all ages and helping them learn and grow.
