Hi! My name is Halei, I’m 25 years old, and caring for children has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember! As the oldest of four girls, I’ve always been the “second mom” in my family. I’ve spent years caring for my three younger siblings, including a sibling with special needs, which has taught me patience, understanding, responsibility, and how to meet each child’s individual needs. Growing up in a single-family household, I was very involved in helping with my sisters and taking on responsibilities from a young age. I’ve also babysat neighborhood children throughout the years and have experience with school bus drop-offs and pickups. I’m comfortable keeping kids on a routine while also making sure they’re having fun and enjoying themselves! I currently attend TCC and am working toward becoming a teacher before transferring to complete my degree. I absolutely love working with little ones and hope to make teaching and caring for children a lifelong career. I enjoy arts and crafts, spending time outside, exploring nature, and finding fun, creative ways to keep kids engaged. I have my own reliable vehicle and a clean driving record, so I’m able to help with transportation when needed. Most importantly, I want the children I care for to feel safe, comfortable, heard, and excited to spend time together. I truly love having kids be a part of my daily routine and would be so happy to become a trusted and positive part of your family’s support system!
