About Jamie

Hi! My name is Jamie, and I’m a 27-year-old educator who recently moved to Houston this August. I have always loved working with children and feel incredibly lucky that my career has allowed me to make a positive impact on their lives both inside and outside the classroom. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Westminster College and went on to receive my Master’s in Education from Vanderbilt University. I also spent four years teaching first grade at St. Henry’s Elementary School in Nashville, where I gained extensive experience caring for, teaching, and connecting with young children. Before and throughout my teaching career, I also nannied during college, giving me years of hands-on experience working with children in a home setting. In addition to teaching, I coached girl's middle school and high school lacrosse for four years. Coaching taught me so much about leadership, patience, communication, and encouraging children to become confident and responsible individuals. As a nanny, I want parents to feel completely comfortable knowing that their children are in caring, capable, and trustworthy hands. I love creating a fun and engaging environment while also maintaining structure and consistency. My background as a teacher allows me to incorporate learning, creativity, outdoor activities, and age-appropriate routines into the day. Most importantly, I want children to feel safe, supported, and genuinely excited to spend time together. I recently relocated to Houston and am excited to meet a wonderful family and become someone they can truly rely on.
