Hi there! My name is Rachel, and I recently graduated from college with a degree in sociology. My husband, and I just moved to the Hartford area from southwestern Connecticut and before that, Utah. He is completing a Master’s program at UConn, and I am hoping to find employment as a babysitter or nanny. I love people and think kids are some of the best kind of people to be around! I come from a very big family, so I’m used to babysitting younger siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins from infancy to early teen stages. Growing up, I was frequently asked by neighbors, church acquaintances, and other community members to watch their children for pay. A couple years ago, I spent much of my summer in 2024 babysitting for a family with three young girls on a regular basis. This past summer, I worked as an educational camp instructor, teaching reading classes to over a hundred kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. I loved getting to know them and learning from their unique personalities and interests! Some of my personal interests include art, reading, cooking, learning languages, sports, and being in nature.
