About Archana

Hi, I’m Archana and a current senior at Texas A&M. As an older sister, I grew up babysitting my sister and my little cousins, as well as the neighborhood kids. I love working with kids, and in the future I hope to be a pediatrician! Personality wise, I’m quick to humor, which kids love, but more importantly, I care deeply for their well-being and that’s something I’ll always take seriously. As a babysitter, I aim to make those small moments a positive and uplifting environment. I’m also open to tutoring or assisting with homework! In terms of professional childcare experience, a couple summers prior, I volunteered at several child psychiatry rehab centers, working alongside kids in dance therapy and physical therapy. I also completed an internship in Child Life Services this summer, where I engaged our long term pediatric patients at a hospital in daily 1-on-1 play sessions to support their cognitive, social, and emotional development. My experience has helped me to grow a unique ability to apply compassionate and encouraging childcare techniques that supports their growth in all aspects.
