About Jeanell

My passion for working with children began as a teenager. It seemed like everyone’s kids/babies always wanted to come to me. My family members and neighbors trusted me with their children so there it began, babysitting at 13 years old. I loved it. I remember one baby even took his first steps to me. It’s priceless to see the children you’ve cared for, grown up with children of their own. When I became a mother, I knew I wanted to do things a little different. I wanted the full experience of a natural birth and breastfeeding. So that’s what I did. The more children I had and breastfed, the more people would reach out to me for advice. I soon realized that I wanted to make a career out of it so I did my research and set out on a journey. While studying, I opened my own in home child care so that I could keep my children close to me. I became a lactation consultant for WIC and I absolutely enjoyed working with my pregnant mothers prior to giving birth and preparing them for what was to come. It was like a prize having them bring their newborns to me after birth to discus and assist on their breastfeeding journey. I still have moms send me pictures or reach out when they have questions and I love it! Word of mouth is real! I genuinely enjoy working with newborns and holding and coddling them. The hardest part for me is to not spoil that sweet baby because you will be certain, the baby will be loved! Our babies are our most precious, prized possession and I want any family that interact with to know, trust and believe their babies are in great hands.
