I am a nurturing and caring nanny. I have been a nanny for a little over 4 years, but have been taking care of kids since I was 16. I started off as a babysitter for my mother’s bosses, then as my first job I worked as a floater at a Montessori school. After that I became a lead infant teacher at a licensed childcare facility. I loved working with infants, it is my second favorite job I’ve done (number one is nannying). My favorite part about working with kids is watching them grow and seeing how they explore the world. I enjoy helping, so I am happy to do anything that will help the household run smoother. Whether that is organizing, setting routines, helping with appointments, or extracurriculars. I’m also pretty flexible and reliable, I can stay late or arrive earlier if needed. I have experience taking care of different age groups, from infant to school age and I have worked with multiple kids at once. I love to explore and encourage exploration while maintaining a safe environment. I have been faced with difficult situations but have handled them properly and efficiently. I can work with a set structure or create one of my own. I am creative and enjoy doing arts and crafts, I make sure to always have a craft or activity that kids enjoy and can express themselves. I love playing and creating games with kids, but I also encourage playing alone to create independence and self-awareness. I love being a nanny and the hardest part of the job is when I must depart but knowing that I’ve had a part in the development of the kids’ character and being able to give them fun and knowledgeable experiences is an amazing reward.
