About Zakiyah

I have 5+ years of experience in child care. I have experience as a in house as well as outhouse nanny. I work well with all ages, I love giving back to my community so I volunteer at my local church (community Bible Church) in the nursery as a caregiver. I have a passion for child development and helping a child succeed to their fullest potential in a fun, loving and engaging way. I enjoy crafting, playing games, swimming, baking, traveling, reading, Dancing, and playing sports. Ive have also been blessed with the opportunity of playing basketball at a collegiate level during my first two years of college, so I have a lot of energy and enthusiasm and understand the importance of staying active and getting your little ones involved throughout the day. I also have experience with age appropriate activities for all ages starting from pre-K to middle adolescent. I try to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where a child can thrive and develop. I enjoy helping children use their creativity and imagination while understanding their development milestones and social and emotional needs. I pride myself with being a positive role model and influence in every kiddos life. I am CPR certified, first aid certified and have my nursing assistant certification. I am willing to travel with a family and am flexible on being a live out nanny. I am also familiar with assisting in caring for the family home and pets and assisting with homework. I have my own vehicle with a clean driving record and am current on my flu shot and Tdap vaccination.
