About Ryen

Hi! I’m Ryen, a nursing student with many years of experience caring for children of all ages, from newborns and infants to toddlers and school-aged kids. I’ve worked with families in both regular nannying positions and occasional babysitting roles, and I truly enjoy getting to know each child and creating a fun, comfortable, and safe environment for them. I have experience caring for children from newborns through age 11 and am comfortable with everything from bottles, diaper changes, naps, and bedtime routines to homework help, meal prep, activities, and keeping busy kids entertained! I’ve also coached swimming and worked with 75+ children between ages 6-14, which has given me even more experience managing different personalities, age groups, and energy levels. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and am currently in nursing school. I am BLS/CPR certified and have additional experience working with children in healthcare settings, including volunteering at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and shadowing at Cook Children’s. My nursing education has made me especially attentive to safety, communication, and staying calm when unexpected situations arise. Outside of school, I love spending time with my friends trying new restaurants, staying active, and finding fun things to do around Nashville. I also have a background in swimming, so I’m always happy to spend time at the pool or outdoors with active kids! As a sitter, I’m dependable, patient, and very hands-on. I’m happy to play games, do crafts, spend time outside, help with homework, or follow whatever routine works best for your family. I understand how important it is to have someone caring for your children whom you can genuinely trust, and my goal is always to make both the kids and parents feel comfortable while I’m there. My goal is for parents to feel completely comfortable leaving their kids with me and for the kids to be excited when they hear I’m coming back!
