Greetings! My name is Augtonia, but kids call me Nia or NiNi! I’m 30 years old and based in Antioch, TN. I have experience caring for children from newborn through 17 and have worked professionally as a nanny and household manager for over 8 years. My background includes newborn and infant care, sleep training, premature childcare, autism and developmental disabilities support, pediatric therapy assistance, and tutoring across elementary, middle, and high school levels. I love incorporating music, arts and crafts, play, critical thinking, and academic strategies to help children thrive and build confidence. My caregiving philosophy centers on patience, kindness, and nurturing both children and parents. I believe in fair, constructive discipline, clear but reasonable boundaries, and leading with compassion in all interactions. I enjoy using music, arts and crafts, play time, critical thinking, linguistic strategies, and academia to bring out a child’s strongest abilities and qualities. I’m a non-smoker and fully vaccinated (flu, pneumonia, COVID, and boosters). I hold 13 childcare certifications, some of which include Brain Development, SIDS, Abusive Head Trauma (Texas A&M AgriLife Extension), Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting (TN DCS), and Working with Children with Disabilities (ProSolutions), just to name a few. In addition to childcare, I’ve worked as a summer camp counselor for D.A.R.E. and G.R.E.A.T. programs through MNPD and have extensive tutoring experience. Outside of work, I enjoy singing, traveling, bargain shopping, and the arts. Fun fact: I’m also a professional vocalist and actress.
