About Shalae

I have two years of babysitting experience caring for children from 6 months to 8 years old. During that time, I have learned how to provide a safe, caring, patient, and positive environment for infants, toddlers, and young children. I am comfortable with feeding and bottle preparation, diaper changes, nap schedules, bedtime routines, preparing simple meals and snacks, and keeping children entertained with age-appropriate activities. I understand that every child has different needs and routines, so I always follow the instructions given by parents and make sure each child feels comfortable, safe, and cared for. I enjoy spending time with children and keeping them active through reading, games, arts and crafts, puzzles, outdoor play, and other fun activities. For older children, I can also help with homework, reading, and keeping them on their daily schedule. I am patient and calm when children become upset or frustrated, and I try to communicate with them in a kind and respectful way. I also help keep the area clean by organizing toys, cleaning up after meals and activities, and making sure the home stays safe and tidy while the children are in my care. My two years of experience have helped me become responsible, dependable, attentive, and confident when caring for children of different ages. Safety is always my first priority, and I make sure to closely supervise the children and follow any rules, routines, allergy information, or special instructions provided by the family. I believe good communication with parents is very important, and I am happy to provide updates about meals, naps, diaper changes, activities, homework, or bedtime. My goal is to make sure every child feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for while giving parents peace of mind.
