About Abbie

Hi! My name is Abbie W, and I’m a 19-year-old college student from the Millersville area. I graduated from Penn Manor High School and am currently a freshman at Elizabethtown College, where I’m majoring in Occupational Therapy. I have always loved working with children and have been babysitting on and off for families in my hometown for several years. I’ve also volunteered at preschools and daycares, giving me experience spending time with children of different ages and personalities. I enjoy playing with kids, doing crafts and activities, being outside, reading, and finding fun ways to keep them entertained. I’m responsible, patient, caring, and dependable, and I always want the children I’m caring for to feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I’m comfortable helping with meals, bedtime routines, homework, and keeping kids on their normal schedules. I chose to major in Occupational Therapy because I love helping children learn, grow, and become more independent, and I hope to work with children as an OT in the future. Babysitting is something I genuinely enjoy, and I love getting to know each child and their individual personality!
