About Makenah

Hi! My name is Makenah, and I have hands-on experience caring for children of all ages and abilities. I’ve worked as a Direct Care Specialist at JD McCarty, where I supported children with developmental disabilities by helping with daily routines, emotional regulation, and creating a safe, engaging environment. This experience has made me patient, attentive, and adaptable to each child’s unique needs. I also have experience caring for children without disabilities, so I’m comfortable balancing fun, structure, and safety for any family. I love keeping kids engaged through creative play, outdoor activities, and age-appropriate learning. I’m reliable, calm under pressure, and truly enjoy building positive connections with both kids and parents. My goal is always to make sure your child feels safe, supported, and has a great time while you’re away!
