About Theresa

Hello! My name is Theresa and I am a MAT student at SBU. I hold a Bachelor's in History and Political Science from Stony Brook, and anticipate earning my full teaching certification by next Spring! I have over 6 years of experience ranging from school to home environments with children of all ages. My experience includes: tutoring (3 years, grades k-10), substitute teaching (3 years, Bay Shore SD, grades 3-5), babysitting (5+ years), and student observations in the Bay Shore and Babylon School districts (grades 7-12). I have been fingerprinted by NYS since 2021 and hold certificates in: Child Abuse, Autism, DASA, and Substance Abuse. Outside of school, I work full-time as a Catering Manager for Iavarone Brothers. I am comfortable with pets (I have two mini poodles at home!), have a clean driving record, and am eager to assist children in all areas of their learning!
