About Jzabelle

I love working with children! I believe children are the future of our world, and it’s important to have a strong connection to the inner child within us to better understand how each individual child learns and processes the world around them in ways that are unique to them and supportive of their growth and development. I’ve always been the designated babysitter of my relatives, from newborns, to school age children, to teens, as I’ve always had a great way of understanding and caring for kids, and is something I was able to do as a part time position throughout high school, college, and afterwards. Additionally, I’ve babysat and tutored pre-school and school age children throughout high school and following college. As well as volunteering at a summer camp for 2 years in high school, where I worked with children from toddler age to late middle school (12-13 years old). There I oversaw toddler-age children from the mornings to afternoons, as well as teaching arts & crafts classes, ceramics classes, and covered other creative courses when necessary such as cooking, music, and dance. In my final year of college, I interned at an after school program for inner-city children. I’m a strong advocate and believer that when we nurture the children around us, they grow up to be healthy, well-rounded, educated, kind, confident, secure and passionate people who move through the world more successfully in all they aspire to, reach towards, and find their own strengths within. I think caring for children and being able to be a teacher or mentor of some sort, is a great privilege and responsibility, and one of the most important jobs in the world!
