About Tonique

My name is Tonique, I live in New York and I’m a college student with over 5 years of childcare experience working with children ranging from infants to grade-school age. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to care for children in many different stages, so I’m comfortable with everything from feeding, playtime, and bedtime routines to school pickups, homework help, and keeping older kids entertained. I genuinely enjoy building relationships with the children I care for and creating an environment where they feel safe, comfortable, and able to have fun. As a college student, I’m responsible, organized, and dependable, and I’m always happy to help with homework, reading, school projects, or keeping kids on track with their after-school routines. I understand how important it is for parents to have someone they can trust and communicate openly with, so I make reliability and communication a priority. I’m also big on keeping kids engaged beyond screens! Depending on their age and interests, I love planning arts and crafts, reading together, going to the park, exploring outdoors, playing games, or coming up with creative activities to make our time together enjoyable. My personality is warm, patient, energetic, and caring, while still being able to provide structure and maintain the routines and boundaries parents have established in their home. Whether a family needs regular childcare, after-school help, date-night coverage, or an occasional sitter, I’d love the opportunity to get to know families and see if we’re a great fit!
