About Juliana

Hi! My name is Juliana, and I recently graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. This September, I’ll be starting my master’s degree at Columbia University in Psychological Counseling, with the goal of continuing to work with and support children. I have always loved working with kids and have gained experience with children of different ages and abilities in a variety of settings. I have babysat for neighbors, family friends, and relatives, helping with everything from playtime and meals to bedtime routines, homework, and keeping kids engaged and safe. My experience with children also goes beyond babysitting. I have volunteered with GiGi’s Playhouse, where I worked with individuals with Down syndrome and gained valuable experience creating a patient, encouraging, and inclusive environment. I also had the opportunity to travel to Africa and France, where I worked with children and gained an even greater appreciation for connecting with kids from different backgrounds and cultures. I also had the opportunity to be a live in nanny while teaching in France! Because of my background in elementary and special education, I understand the importance of patience, communication, structure, and making every child feel comfortable and supported. I am responsible, caring, energetic, and genuinely enjoy spending time with children while creating a fun and safe environment for them.
