About Savannah
I have worked with children for over 10 years - with infants and 2 or younger, in a daycare setting, and with 5-13 year olds, in summer camp settings. My experience also includes children with developmental disabilities and regular medication. I believe that every child is their own unique person, born with a complete personality that the world gets to meet, not an empty vessel to fill. My philosophy is that kids learn through play and experiences, which requires a safe place that allows authentic self expression. I also love to read books, tell stories, and sing songs. I am very committed to not only an accepting environment, but also a supportive and validating one. I am queer, so it is important that the family I work with is safe and accepting.
