About Karma

I have several years of experience working with children in a variety of settings and age groups. My childcare experience began as a teenager when I regularly babysat for family members, caring for children of different ages and helping with daily routines, meals, playtime, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Over the years, I have also cared for children from my church, ranging in age from as young as 3 months old to teenagers. This experience has strengthened my ability to adapt to the unique needs and developmental stages of each child while building positive relationships with both children and their families. For the past seven years, I have worked as a paraeducator in both Mount Diablo Unified School District and Antioch Unified School District, supporting students with a variety of special needs. In this role, I assist with academic instruction, behavior management, communication, social skills, and daily living activities while collaborating with teachers and other professionals to help students succeed. In addition, I serve as a Sunday school teacher, where I plan engaging lessons, supervise groups of children, and create a positive, welcoming environment that encourages learning and personal growth. I am certified in CPR and CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) techniques, allowing me to respond appropriately in emergencies and safely support children with behavioral challenges. I am also a licensed tutor, giving me additional experience helping children build academic skills and confidence. My diverse background has prepared me to provide compassionate, dependable, and high-quality care for children of all ages and abilities.
