About Mia

I began babysitting for families I met while working at the YMCA summer camp, where I built strong relationships with both children and parents. After camp, several families trusted me to provide care outside of camp hours. I cared for children of various ages by supervising play, preparing snacks and meals, helping with bedtime routines, assisting with homework, organizing creative activities, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment. I focus on building positive relationships with children while maintaining open communication with parents about their child's day and any important updates. I have several years of childcare experience through multiple roles. I worked as a Camp Counselor at the YMCA, where I supervised groups of children, planned recreational and educational activities, resolved conflicts, promoted teamwork, and ensured children's safety throughout the day. In addition, I currently serve as a Preschool Teaching Assistant and Summer Intern at Bobbie's Learning Center. In this role, I assist lead teachers with classroom management, support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development, help implement daily lessons and activities, supervise indoor and outdoor play, assist with meals and transitions, and create a nurturing learning environment for young children.
