About Makenzi

Hi! I’m a psychology major at Western Carolina University with a genuine love for working with children. I’m responsible, patient, dependable, and enjoy creating a fun and comfortable environment where kids can feel safe and be themselves. I have several years of experience coaching soccer and have also refereed soccer for children of all ages. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with many different personalities and age groups while developing patience, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. As a psychology student, I’m especially interested in child development and understanding the different ways children learn, communicate, and express themselves. I enjoy keeping kids active and engaged, whether that’s playing outside, kicking a soccer ball around, painting and doing crafts, helping with homework, or simply finding activities they enjoy. I’m also happy to help with meals, routines, homework, and other everyday needs while parents are away. I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your children, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’d love the opportunity to get to know your family and become someone both you and your children feel safe, happy, and comfortable with!
