About Patience

Hi! My name is Patience, and I’m a Social Work major with a Psychology minor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I have 6.5 years of childcare experience and am CPR, AED, and First Aid certified (including pediatric and adult emergency response). I’m currently looking for a babysitting or nannying position while I’m home in Raleigh for the summer, with plans to become a child psychologist. I started babysitting at 12 and have worked with families throughout the Raleigh Triangle area as a babysitter and summer nanny, caring for infants through school-aged children. I’ve also volunteered every Sunday in my church nursery, caring for infants and young children, and I worked as a camp counselor. In these roles, I’ve handled daily routines like meals, snacks, homework help, bedtime, and transportation between activities, as well as planning crafts, games, and outdoor play. I’ve cared for multiple children at once, managed different schedules, and helped keep things organized and running smoothly in busy environments. Through these experiences, I’ve developed strong skills in patience, communication, problem-solving, and staying calm under pressure. I’ve learned how to handle different personalities, support children through big emotions, and create a safe, structured, and positive environment where they feel comfortable and cared for.
