Hi parents! My name is Sarah, and I am an undergraduate Molecular Biology major at NC State on the pre-med track, with the long-term goal of becoming a pediatrician! I love working with kids of all ages and strive to create a safe, engaging, and fun environment for your family every single time I sit. Safety & Care Background: Your child’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities. I hold a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification, which means I have extensive, advanced training in emergency response, CPR, and first aid care. This past summer, I served as the Wellness Manager for the Girl Scouts, where I oversaw health, safety, and medical needs for campers on a daily basis. Whether it’s managing minor scrapes, handling allergies, or staying calm under pressure, you can rest assured your kids are in skilled, capable hands. Experience & Engagement: I have worked with children across a wide variety of settings for years: Babysitting: Started in high school caring for neighborhood kids of various ages and continued throughout college. Party Hosting & Group Supervision: Former host at Monster Mini Golf, where I frequently led birthday parties independently—managing large groups of kids, keeping events organized, and ensuring everyone stayed safe without parents in the room! Community Involvement: Longtime volunteer at the Boys & Girls Club, mentoring and tutoring kids both in high school (through school service clubs) and now during college. My Babysitting Style: While I’m totally fine managing screen time according to your household rules, I love bringing a hands-on, creative energy to sitting! Being artsy, I enjoy doing craft projects, playing board games, reading stories, or spending time outside to keep kids active and entertained. With my STEM background, I’m also great at making science fun or helping out with homework, managing bedtime routines, preparing light snacks, and keeping things tidy.
