About Alexis

Nurturing young minds is a true passion of mine. For the past three years, I've had the joy of watching children learn and grow. My approach is patient and imaginative, creating a fun and supportive environment for your little one(s). I am comfortable caring for multiple children at a time. My childcare experience includes working as a nanny for a family with children aged 1-10. I began as a volunteer teacher in Sunday School at Saint Memorial Baptist of Brynn Mawr. There , I worked with children of different ages and abilities, including autistic students. From this opportunity, I was able to provide part-time care to two autistic brothers, one non-verbal. In the summer of 2025, I provided care to a non-verbal, autistic child I worked with his parents and behavioral therapist to improve communication and emotional regulation In 2026, I provided after-school care for two 8-year old girls struggling with ADHD, Anxiety, and Autism. I simultaneously worked with a four-year old Autistic girl in the summer of 2026. I currently care for a 16 month baby girl, and three-year old, and a six-year old. All of these positions require curation of activities, educational and for leisure. Schoolwork and tutoring services are also up my ally, as a college student with various coursework; combined with a balance of engaging, age-appropriate activities, I work to ensure enrichment outside of screentime. Most importantly, all of the positions listed require an intense amount of patience, understanding, and adaptability. Working with non-verbal Autistic children has truly shaped the way I view the world, the youngest of us especially. Many children are just misunderstood, as they are still learning to communicate. I find pleasure in working with these children, verbal or non-verbal, neurodivergent or neurotypical . I apply the same values and morals to all childcare, tweaking my approach based on the behaviors and needs of the child. I am also happy to help with cooking,
