About Carmen

I’ve been an elementary school teacher for the past three years, so I have plenty of experience caring for, teaching, and connecting with children with different personalities, needs, and developmental stages. I also have experience babysitting my toddler niece, which has given me additional hands-on experience with the energy, curiosity, and care that toddlers require. I’m comfortable handling the responsibilities and challenges that come with caring for children, and I bring patience, attentiveness, structure, positive discipline, and—of course—FUN! I genuinely enjoy getting to know children, creating a safe and comfortable environment for them, and being a positive influence in their lives. One of my favorite things about working with children is the relationship we build with one another. I love watching them learn, grow, express themselves, and simply have fun, while also knowing that I can learn something from them along the way. Whether we’re playing, working on homework, sticking to a routine, exploring something new, or just having a good time, I want the children in my care to feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for.
