About Liya

Hi! I’m a college student who is patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoys working with children. I have several years of childcare-related experience through my high school’s Child Development program, beginning my sophomore year. As part of the program, preschool-aged children attended our school’s preschool, where I worked with classmates in small groups to plan and lead age-appropriate activities and lessons on a rotating basis. During my senior year, I also completed a Child Development internship working with elementary-aged children. Outside of school, I’ve gained additional hands-on experience helping care for my younger brother as he’s grown up, so I’m comfortable with everyday routines and adapting to different ages and personalities. I enjoy keeping kids engaged through arts and crafts, reading, games, imaginative play, music, outdoor activities, and age-appropriate learning. Safety and reliability are very important to me. I want children to feel comfortable and cared for while their parents are away, and I’m respectful of each family’s routines, rules, and parenting preferences. I’m also happy to help with homework, simple meals, and light child-related cleanup when needed.
