About Mia

I have over two years of childcare experience, starting with part-time work at my aunt's daycare, where I cared for infants through preschool-aged children. Since then, I've worked with multiple families, including a recent position this semester caring for a 1-year-old, where I handled daily routines, meals, playtime, and overall care. Last summer, I worked as a short-term nanny for families in both New York City and Washington, DC. In New York, I cared for a 2-year-old, managing diaper changes, meals, and daily outings. In DC, I was a shared nanny for three children (ages 2, 4, and almost 6), where I coordinated nap times, planned engaging activities, and took them to places like the park, library, and zoo. In addition to childcare, I have tutoring experience with students from early elementary through middle school in subjects like math and reading. I also speak conversational Spanish, which helps me communicate comfortably with children and families. I am currently entering my senior year of college and am looking for a summer nanny position, as well as occasional babysitting or tutoring opportunities. While I do not drive, I am reliable, caring, and committed to creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment for children. I also have reliable references available upon request.
