About Klara

Hello! My name is Klara and I am a graduate student at UMass Amherst pursuing M.Ed./Ed.S degrees in school psychology. I also graduated from UMass Amherst in May 2024 with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in education. I have over five years of childcare experience. I first began as a preschool dance teacher when I was in high school. I grew up as a competitive dancer and I loved teaching the next generation of young dancers! I also babysat throughout high school and nannied during summer intersessions when I was in undergrad. I have worked as a classroom assistant in an extended school year program for students with social emotional needs, and I am currently placed in a kindergarten classroom as part of my program, where I explore how school psychologists contribute to the classroom. Beyond typical classroom assisting duties, I run a social skills group and help to monitor student academic progress. Furthermore, I work as a group leader at an afterschool program for elementary aged students. My main role is helping students academically, whether it be completing homework or tutoring in subjects like math, ELA, science, and Spanish!
