About Akhona

My name is Akhona, I am 20 years old, married and have a 2 month old daughter. I have 5 siblings and I am the oldest. I have always taken care of someone younger than me my entire life. My mom usually left me with my siblings while she went to work and I always enjoyed being with them. After I finished high school, I knew how much passion I had for working with kids, so I decided to become an assistant teacher for special needs children. It was one of the fun and best experiences of my life. It built me into who I am today. I also decided that I would be a camp counselor for a few months, also for people with special needs. It was amazing. I enjoyed working with kids because I have always preferred being around kids and playing with them. I love helping parents who need time but also don’t have anyone to leave their kids with and trust them. I also need that support sometimes and it is always hard to get someone you can trust with the life of your kids. I would really appreciate it you hired me because I love being with kids .
