About Jana
I believe every child is a whole person worthy of respect—with their own interests, pace, and way of learning. Over thirteen years in the classroom (teaching first through eighth grade, including as an English Learners educator) and as a parent to a six-year-old, I've seen how much children thrive when they're truly seen and supported for who they are. I bring a Montessori-informed approach to childcare: I observe what each child is ready for, follow their interests, and create space for independence and choice. I'm patient with the learning process (including mess, mistakes, and the long road to tying shoes), and I trust children's capacity to figure things out with thoughtful support. Parents can expect reliability, care grounded in child development, and someone who sees their child as a person—not just a task to manage.
