About Denisse M.

Hi! I’m Denisse, I’m 22 and I study mechanical engineering at UIC. I’ve always loved being around kids! I actually started working with them when I was 15 as a lifeguard. I later became head lifeguard and then assistant manager, and through all of that I learned that making sure kids are safe, cared for, and having fun is something I’m really passionate about. After that, I worked as a teacher assistant at two wonderful daycares. That’s when I realized how much I love teaching and creating fun, playful moments with little ones. Whether it's singing, doing silly science experiments, or playing a round of Candy Land (which I always bring with me), I love making kids laugh and feel happy. Even though I’m deep into my engineering classes now, working with kids still brings me so much joy. I really enjoy making their days special and I always bring a lot of energy, creativity, and heart into everything I do.
