About Mirella

My name is Mirella and I absolutely love children! I've been working with them for 20 years now. I graduated from Columbia College with a bachelor's in music business management & marketing, as well as early childhood education. I also have a master's degree in internet marketing. I have extensive experience and education in child development that I am constantly continuing. I have been a professional babysitter, professional nanny, daycare provider, nursery attendant, camp counselor, tutor, ECE teacher (birth-2nd grade), and Newborn Care Specialist (birth-18months). I am CPR and First Aid trained and certified. I participated in the 2012 to 2016 national nanny training days, happiest baby on the block, and nanny Stella of nanny 911 certifications. I'm a member of the US Nanny Association and the International Nanny Association. I am the child care provider for the cast & crew of 3 TV shows filming in Chicago. I was nominated for America's Top Sitter 2014. In early 2016 I created, hosted, and spoke at Chicago Nanny Training Day. In August 2016 I became a certified Postpartum Doula and in December 2016, a Labor Doula. I’m the Vice President of the Nanny Sitter Education Fund. Lastly, I am an Expert at CareNectar.com Most importantly, I truly adore children! I treat each child as if they are my own to give them the best love and care possible. I love encouraging language, music, and reading. I also love to do outdoor activities and arts & crafts. More than anything, I love being a positive and loving influence on their development and in their lives. I also provide one on one or small group workshops for parents, as well as nanny hiring and training. In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband, friends and family. I also love to travel, support the arts, and do charity work.
