About Teresa

I am a compassionate, curious, and highly dependable sitter with about 2 years of childcare experience. As a babysitter, I have worked with children from 1-4 years of age, assisting two families so far with child and home care. For one school year, I was also an after-care kindergarten teacher for a Waldorf school, where I lead a small class of children ages 3-7. I would have continued this very rewarding job, but I relocated to pursue a graduate degree in counseling psychology. My program provided deeper understanding and insights into childhood development. I adore working with children, and I am able to provide a strong, loving, safe, and playful container for them to learn about the world around them, its wonders and its boundaries. Communication and collaboration with parents is my priority; I will always carefully follow all instructions, take any feedback to heart, and offer my own observations with respect and humility. I hope to eventually work with children as a psychotherapist, and I also hope to be a parent myself one day. I am very eager to have more experience with young ones and do everything I can to contribute to their safe, healthy, and joyful growth and development.
