Hello! I have worked with children in many capacities since 2015. I hold multiple certifications, including Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, Nonviolent Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, and Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children (prevention and response to child sexual abuse). Roles & Experience - Tutoring, nannying, and substitute teaching (long-term 1st grade substitute, Nov–end of 2024; my class showed 60% growth on end-of-year math tests). - Classroom assistant and lead in daycare settings; created and implemented lesson plans. - Afterschool and summer program planning and leadership. - AmeriCorps National Service member at Youth Villages (residential treatment for youth with mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges): tutoring, monthly event planning, career/education/future-life-success tutoring, service-learning, life-skills instruction (time management, nutrition, job skills), and participation in therapies (equine, African drum, animal, recreational). - High school Pre-K experience: assisted in-class, created ECE portfolio (Philosophy of Education, Classroom Management, Exceptionalities, teacher-work sample). - Volunteered at hospital Children’s House during summers.
