About Leah

Hi! I’m Leah. Caring for children has been a meaningful and consistent part of my life, both personally and professionally. I’ve worked with children in schools, childcare settings, church youth programs, through middle school volleyball coaching, and of course within my own family. Being around children in so many different environments has taught me how differently each child communicates, learns, responds, and connects. I’ve learned to meet them where they are, offer guidance when they need it, encourage them as they grow, and still make room for them to simply enjoy being a kid. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each child for who they are, understanding their individual needs, and creating a space where they feel comfortable, secure, and free to be themselves. I enjoy being present through the different parts of their day, from learning and creativity to routines, responsibilities, and the quieter moments when they’re winding down. Whether I’m helping them work through something, encouraging their independence, keeping their day structured, or simply listening to what they have to say, I value being able to watch them learn, grow, and become more confident in themselves. And as much as I enjoy being part of that growth, I find that children have a way of teaching me too. Every child has their own personality, perspective, and way of seeing the world, and that’s something I truly appreciate about working with them. I’m respectful of each family’s home, routines, and expectations, and I understand how important it is for parents to feel at ease with the person caring for their child. More than anything, I want the children in my care to feel supported, encouraged, genuinely cared for, and comfortable being exactly who they are.
