Hi! My name is Bex. I’m originally from North Jersey, where I grew up on a farm. I attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a focus in Textiles. I’m currently enrolled in Region 13’s Educator Certification Program and working toward becoming a full-time art teacher here in Austin! While completing my online studies, I have availability to support families in need of a babysitter or nanny. I have experience working with children ages 0–15 and am comfortable caring for pets as well, I’ve taken care of just about every animal you can imagine. During COVID, I worked as a full-time nanny for two five-year-olds in New Jersey. I supported them through online kindergarten while also preparing meals and planning engaging after-school activities. These included nature walks to the lake, foraging sticks and leaves to create sculptures, visiting local farms to learn about animals, and inventing indoor games on rainy days. I truly love inspiring children to be creative, curious, and connected to the outdoors. I look forward to connecting with your family soon!
