Hi everyone! I’m Ke’Asia Walker, a freshman at Georgia State College. I’m really passionate about working with children, and since I’m the oldest of two brothers and have lots of cousins, I’ve always been the go-to babysitter. During my senior year of high school, I had two fantastic, paid internships where I worked with kids. I had the chance to collaborate with special education at Lamar Milledge Elementary in Augusta, Ga., and it was such a joy to work with such unique minds and discover new ways to connect. In the summer, I also took on the role of a counselor at a summer camp hosted by Bernie Ward Community Center in Augusta, Ga. As I keep exploring my childcare interests, I also love cooking, reading, meditation, psychology (my major), and doing DIY projects! I’m adaptable, creative, and passionate, which is why I think I’m a great role model!
